If you don’t know, Kanata Hand Knits is a renowned family-run business, making the best heavyweight wool sweaters in the world. For Blackstock & Weber’s first knit, there was simply no alternative. 

Our sweater with Kanata features a shawl collar and heavy duty zipper with a leather pull tab. It’s designed to meet our standard of both luxury and durability — its premium construction will stand up to decades of wear. 

When we started talking to Kanata about how to make this collaboration a special blend of our brand’s respective identities, the Chevron pattern simply made perfect sense. It’s been a staple of knitwear design for over 100 years in both Fair Isle sweaters and by the Cowichan people (Kanata’s primary influence), who drew inspiration from the shapes of mountains and rivers. Over the past few decades, the Chevron has become popular in everything from sportswear to fashion. Reinterpreting classics is central to our brand story, and we’re honored to be homaging this iconic motif.
